How Sellixa collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Sellixa handles website, account, customer, channel, and operational data across the public website and the Sellixa service.

1. Scope and Roles
Sellixa Technologies ("Sellixa", "we", "us", or "our") provides software that helps merchants manage customer conversations, orders, automation, and team workflows across channels such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the web (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information on https://sellixa.site and inside the Service.
When Sellixa acts as a controller
- Account, billing, website, security, support, and marketing data relating to our own customers and website visitors
- Operational data we need to run, protect, and improve the Service
When Sellixa acts as a processor or service provider
- Message content, customer profiles, tags, order details, and channel data processed on behalf of a merchant using Sellixa
- In those cases, the merchant decides why the data is processed and remains responsible for the lawful basis for its use
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through use of the Service, and information received from connected third-party platforms.
Account and business information
- Name, work email, password, role, organization name, workspace name, billing contact, and support history
- Store settings, business hours, product knowledge, templates, channel settings, and user preferences
Connected channel and commerce data
- Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and other connected channel metadata permitted by the relevant platform
- Page, business, or account identifiers, usernames, profile images, access tokens, webhook events, and integration health data
- Messages, comments, conversation metadata, tags, assignments, notes, and order-related details processed through the Service
Customer and contact data processed for merchants
- Names, usernames, profile handles, phone numbers, addresses, language preferences, order details, and communication history
- Message content, comments, contact attributes, product inquiries, support requests, and automation events
Technical, device, and usage data
- IP address, device type, browser, operating system, timestamps, approximate location inferred from IP, and log events
- Pages viewed, sessions, clicks, errors, performance diagnostics, and security telemetry
Information from service providers and third parties
- Payment and subscription status from billing providers; we do not store full payment card data
- Email delivery, hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and support platform data needed to operate the Service
- Platform data from Meta and other partners when you connect integrations or use channel features
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and administer accounts, workspaces, permissions, billing, and support interactions
- Operate inbox, automation, order, notification, and channel features requested by our customers
- Sync and process data from connected platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger
- Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, misuse, outages, and security incidents
- Measure product performance, troubleshoot errors, and monitor service health
- Send transactional messages such as verification emails, receipts, alerts, and service notices
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law and where you have not opted out
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others
4. Legal Bases for Processing
If privacy laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide the Service, fulfill an order, or manage an account

Merchants using Sellixa remain responsible for identifying and documenting the lawful basis for the customer data they place into the Service.

We may process information in countries other than the country where it was collected. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, platform safeguards, and access controls designed to protect transferred information.
7. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed for dispute resolution, security, fraud prevention, or enforcement.
Typical retention periods
- Account and workspace records: while the account remains active and for a limited post-closure period needed for support, compliance, and recovery
- Billing and transaction records: as required by applicable tax, accounting, and audit rules
- Security, audit, and system logs: retained for limited periods needed for reliability, incident response, and fraud prevention
- Customer content processed for merchants: retained according to the merchant configuration, platform constraints, and the duration of the merchant relationship with Sellixa
- Backups: retained for short disaster-recovery windows and then overwritten or deleted
Deletion requests
- If you are a Sellixa customer, you may request account deletion or export by contacting us or following our data deletion instructions page
- If you are an end customer of a merchant using Sellixa, we may direct your request to the relevant merchant where they are the controller of the data
8. Security
- Encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege design, environment segregation, and operational monitoring
- Authentication and session controls designed to protect customer workspaces and admin access
- Auditing, logging, and incident response processes intended to detect and address misuse or unauthorized access
No service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and relationship to the Service, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.

- Deletion of account data or customer data, subject to platform, legal, and security limitations
- Data portability where required by law
- Withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent

10. Meta and Other Platform Data
When a merchant connects Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, or other supported services, Sellixa may receive and process platform data allowed by that platform and the permissions approved by the merchant. Platform providers may independently collect and process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Sellixa uses connected platform data to provide inbox, automation, routing, support, and commerce functionality requested by the merchant
- Merchants must use Sellixa in compliance with Meta platform terms, messaging rules, and local marketing and consumer laws
- We may remove, restrict, or suspend integrations that create compliance, abuse, or security risk
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and adults acting on behalf of businesses. We do not knowingly provide the Service to children or intentionally collect personal information directly from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and may provide additional notice where required.
